Peter “Dean” Blake

Mr. Peter “Dean” Blake is the Program Management Branch Chief, AFMC/A4NL and supports portfolio management of all USAF Logistics Information Technology systems and initiatives.  He oversees a team of government and contract professionals who manage the prioritization of resources and delivery of future technologies.  His branch is responsible for all activities associated with logistics application consolidations to reduce sustainment costs as well as application migrations to the cloud.  Mr. Blake also manages capability initiatives that will serve as a foundation for all future logistics IT systems.  While executing these duties, he is also the program manager for the Basing and Logistics Analytics Data Environment (BLADE).  The BLADE team develops requirements under his direction and vision.  When fielded, BLADE will provide the AF with an analytics Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution that will provide unrivaled enterprise data environment and enterprise asset visualizations to serve the logistics community.  In this role, he also stays on the pulse of the data and analytic needs of the logistics enterprise to ensure they are considered in all decisions.  Finally, he works collaboratively with USAF and industry partners to ensure alignment with AF directives and strategies to ensure BLADE leverages the advantages of the best commercial practices.

Prior to his duties within the logistics IT space, Mr. Blake completed a 20+ year career in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance and munitions officer.  During this time, he led strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, technology, and operations of logistics organizations throughout the United States of America and abroad.  He performed duties on the Air Staff as well as Air Mobility Command, Air Combat Command, Air Force Materiel Command, and United Air Forces in Europe.

Mr. Blake earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Architectural Design from Clemson University, a Masters of Aerospace Science Technology from Embry-Riddle University, and a Masters of Strategic Studies from Air War College.  He is a married and has two children.
