Col Scott D. McKeever

Director, Chief of Staff of the Air Force (CSAF) Strategic Studies Group at Headquarters U.S. Air Force

Colonel Scott D. McKeever is the Director of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Strategic Studies Group, Headquarters U.S. Air Force.  In that role, he is a leading voice for innovation, focusing on digital transformation for the U.S. Air Force.  Additionally, Col McKeever leads an innovative Department-wide data project designed to solve challenges in a COVID environment.  Previously, he served as the Global Mobility lead in the Air Force Warfighter Integration Capability (AFWIC), where he spearheaded the Air Force's efforts to accelerate the commercial electric vertical takeoff and landing industry. 

His previous assignments include the Joint Staff, where he served as a senior strategist focused on international cooperation and long-term competition, and command of the 818th Mobility Support Advisory Squadron at McGuire Air Force Base, NJ.  He is a command pilot with multiple assignments flying the C-17 and C-130.  He has also served as a Presidential Advance Agent.

He is a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the U.S. Air Force Academy with degrees in National Security Studies and Operations Research.  He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Virginia.  He is a proud husband and father of three children.
