The AFCEA, Dayton Wright chapter STEM Education Committee is hosting the first of many robotics challenges for children enrolled in Grades 4-6 in the Miami Valley Region, Autumn 2019. The 2019 Competition is an invitational for 8 teams to compete. The public is welcome to attend and observe the competition.

First: Build and program your NodeBot
Each team will be given a NodeBot kit on competition day. The wireless or wired NodeBots based on an Arduino Uno, will be programmed in Javascript, and run the Firmata firmware. NobeBots will be pre-programmed with some basic controls.
Next: Take part in a fun & short programming 'Dance Off'
Teams will be provided with comments and hints and are required to complete the hinted at functionality and teams are encouraged to add their own functionality to make their bots more sophisticated and competition ready. Team members with the support of their mentor and coach, will be required to participate in a series of design-build exercises.
Finally: Put your NodeBot to the test against an opponents' bot in the 'Robotics Challenge'
