Dr. Steven Turek

Chief Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing Program Office & Rapid, Agile, Integrated Capabilities, Rapid Sustainment Office

Dr. Steven Turek is currently the Chief Engineer for the Advanced Manufacturing Program Office (AMPO) and Rapid, Agile, Integrated Capabilities (RAIC) team within the Rapid Sustainment Office (AFLCMC/RO).  His organization focuses on delivering solutions at the speed of need to maximize warfighter readiness.  Prior to his current role, he was the Technical Director and a driving force behind the establishment of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) in HQ AFMC and the Digital Engineering Enterprise Office in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology & Engineering (SAF/AQR).  Steve led the establishment of the Digital Transformation and Digital Materiel Management (DMM) visions in the Department of the Air Force (DAF) through strategic guidance, policy, keynote addresses, and senior leader interchanges.  Steve started his Air Force career in 2010 with the Air Force Research Laboratory where he was a team lead, researcher, and program manager within the Manufacturing Technology Division, and served as the initial Government Chief Technology Advisor for the Advanced Robotics in Manufacturing (ARM) Institute.
