Dr. Tim Meixner

Chief, Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Center Information Technology Office (CITO)

Dr. Tim Meixner is Chief of the Air Force Sustainment Center’s Center Information Technology Office (CITO), AFSC/LG (WPAFB, OH). Dr. Meixner manages the AFSC portfolio of IT systems, facilitates the Center’s information system requirements management/governance processes and acts as the Center’s senior functional for the cyber-operations related career fields. These enabling functions affect the work of approximately 33,000 Air Force Sustainment personnel. Dr. Meixner began his governmental service as a Stay-In-School clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio in 1991. He began his military career in 1995 when he attended the Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, AL. He transitioned to the USAF reserves and joined commercial industry in 2001. He began his civilian career in 2005 at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio as a Management Analyst developing programmatic documentation for financial management IT systems. His career includes experience in combat readiness, deployments and transportation operations; enterprise architecture, acquisition logistics and program management of Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) and Air Force Sustainment (AFSC) systems; staff experience at Headquarters AFMC and Headquarters U.S. Air Force; and all phases of IT development and sustainment.
