Melinda Laubach-Hock 

Director of Sustainment, National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR)

Dr. Melinda Laubach-Hock is the Director of Sustainment for the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR).  Dr. Laubach-Hock has been with NIAR for the past 20 years.

As the Director of Sustainment, Dr. Laubach-Hock oversees NIAR’s teardown evaluations.  This includes large section extraction, detailed disassembly, chemical coating removal, non-destructive inspection, and failure analysis.  She further conducts engineering evaluations for stress, damage tolerance, finite element modeling, and repair design.

Dr. Laubach-Hock has a Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University.
